Our history

For over 65 years, the Fondasol Group has been supporting construction and spatial development operators with the engineering challenges they face in their projects, whatever their scale and location.

Steered by its founding 'musketeers' for 40 years, Fondasol quickly established itself as a badge of quality in geotechnical engineering, developing its operations nationwide and regularly taking on jobs abroad.

Now, over 60 years since its creation, Fondasol is a Group with a presence on several continents, proposing global, concerted solutions.

Without ever losing sight of the importance of its technical acumen, Fondasol Group continues to perpetuates the pioneering spirit and courage of its founders as it accompanies the digital transformation of its sector ad pushes back the boundaries of its different expert fields.

Prodetis, a French firm specialised in structural studies, joined the Fondasol group in December 2020.

BIM | Digital mock-ups for experts: Subsurface utilities

First move into North America: Solroc, a Canadian company specialised in geotechnical engineering, the environment, building materials quality control and building sciences, joined the Fondasol group in October 2020.

Opening of Fondasol Senegal

Company transformation plan: innovation, service offering, human resources, field operations...: every sector of the company is included in this vast transformation plan driven by our employees. The company's entire value chain is being overhauled to provide a more agile, relevant offer.

2017

MAJO! Employees and managers acquired the majority of the company's capital, namely almost 200 employees and managers, and 60% of the capital.

2016

Acquisition of Ecartip, which specialises in new generation topography (detection of subsurface utilities, topography, laser scanning/photogrammetry, BIM, etc., which gave rise to the creation of Fondasol Group.

Deployment in the field of our 1st generation of tablets, to connect data to our tools

Launch of myGéo^TM, an online soil survey offer for private individuals and house builders, specially dedicated to individual house building projects The equality of the group's expertise available to all in a click.

End of the era of the 4 musketeers (Charles Saint-Rémy Pellissier, Maurice Cassan, Roger Massonnet, Pierre Cadix) with the retirement of C. Saint-Rémy Pellisier and the sale of his shares to an investment fund.
